On Wednesday February 15, 2023, Michael Smith was arrested on a federal warrant for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. This arrest concludes a several month-long joint investigations between the FBI, Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division, and the Tulia Police Department. Smith was taken into custody by Randall County tactical unit without incident. This is an ongoing investigation. More details may be released once the investigation is complete. The Tulia Police Department is actively working with our Federal and State partners to reduce criminal activity in our community.
